Sport - GAA

The school has three Gaelic Football Teams: Under 14, Under 16 and Senior.

These teams compete at Connacht level and have succeeded well over the past number of years, including winning Connacht Titles at U16 and Senior level in 2010 and 2011.

Training will take place on the new hockey pitch after school. Football boots are not allowed on this surface, runners or astro boots to be worn please. Details of training and matches will be posted on the Sports Notice Board on the ground floor of the school.

Gaelic Football has developed with thanks to the support of parents, particularly Mr. M. Burke in Eire Óg Club and Ms. K. O'Grady in Salthill/Knocknacarra Club and we are very grateful for this assistance. All parental assistance is gladly welcomed. For more information regarding Gaelic Football, please contact Ms. Kelly, Ms. King or Mr. O'Griallais.

This year, students from Dominican College took part in the City Schools Camogie team. This initiative involved camogie players from schools in the city coming together to form a team. Dominican College was well represented on the team which went on to win the Connacht final.

Camogie training takes place in Áras na Trá, Salthill. Details will be on Sports Notice Board. For more information on Camogie, please contact Ms. Steede.
